See a PDF version of the Samford Flyer Professional Workshop Description Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor (PBSP®), developed by Albert Pesso and Diane Boyden-Pesso, is a multi-dimensional form of psychotherapy and emotional re-education with unique verbal and non-verbal techniques. PBSP® presents a comprehensive viewpoint on developmental requirements necessary for successful maturation as well as innovative techniques that provide clients with symbolic satisfaction of those basic needs. Training in PBSP® significantly increases therapists’ productivity with powerful theoretical and practical tools that enhance professional skills. Behavioral Objectives: 1 -- Participants will be able to demonstrate understanding of PBSP® viewpoints re: a) hopes and expectations driving human life b) theory of body-experienced, basic need satisfaction leading to development of consciousness, and personal autonomy and fulfillment c) micro-tracking and the creation of new virtual memories leading to enhanced living via theory, lecture and live demonstration.
2 – Participants will be able to increase their understanding and gain more sensitivity to: a) non-verbal messages from clients b) basic movement modalities humans have available c) concept and utility of ideal figures
3 – Participants will be able to demonstrate understanding of and ability to use: a) observation and tracking techniques leading to greater client consciousness of own present state in the immediate present b) interventions using role-played historical figures to illuminate and externalize vivid, powerful memories. c) interventions using role-played ideal figures to offset dysfunctional behaviors caused by historical deficits. |
