Healing collective trauma, dealing with cultural differences, from a PBSP perspective 

 

Psychomotor Institute presents a webinar with: Linda Thai, trauma therapist who uses elements of PBSP & Henny Slegh, PBSP therapist and medical anthropologist

  

This presentation is for PBSP-therapists, supervisors, trainers and trainees  

Linda and Henny will both present their views and some case histories on addressing collective trauma, cultural differences, political issues and violence and aspects of healing both from a PBSP perspective as well as from cultural resources.  

Linda Thai, born in Vietnam, raised in Australia and now living and working in Alaska (US),  works with those impacted (personally or intergenerationally) by war, genocide and displacement.  

Henny Slegh (NL) worked for decades in different African countries as researcher/trainer on the impact of war and conflict on men, women and youth and the role of culture on healing and recovery. She is co-author of a community based mental health and psychosocial support methodology to end cycles of violence in families and communities.
